McLennan Community College is located in Waco, Texas on College Drive.
The campus is situated near Cameron Park and sits right by the river.
Lake Shore Drive runs in front of the campus and Farm to Market Road 3051 runs directly by the campus as well.
There is a post office at the end of the road that leads to the campus.
Paralegal Programs Offered
McLennan Community College offers a Certificate in Paralegal Studies as well as an Associate in Applied Science degree in Paralegal Studies.
The programs are accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
Program Schedule and Requirements
The Certificate of Paralegal Studies requires students to complete 33-34 credit hours.
The courses must be as specified for the certificate program.
Any substitutions in courses must be approved by the Dean of Workforce education.
The Associate of Applied Science degree in Paralegal Studies requires students to complete 66 or 67 credit hours.
The college offers a recommended course schedule for those wishing to complete the associate’s degree.
The first semester consists of 17 credit hours and includes an introduction to law course as well as English, and word process.
The second semester consists of 15 credit hours and includes math and other legal specialty courses.
The second year first semester consists of 16 credit hours.
The final semester consists of 19 credit hours and includes an internship.
There are certain courses that are only available in the spring or the fall. Internships are only offered during the spring semester.
