Midland College is located on Garfield Street in Midland, Texas.
There is a Subway and Garlic Press restaurant located on the corner of Garfield and West Wadley Avenue, right next to the campus.
The Yucca Theatre is located just down the road.
Tumbleweed Park sits across from the college campus as well.
Paralegal Programs Offered
At Midland College students have the option of completing either an Associate of Applied Science degree in paralegal studies or a Legal Technician Certificate.
Program Schedule and Requirements
The legal technician certificate offered by Midland College consists of 19 credit hours and takes about one year to complete.
The associate of science degree offered by the college consists of 61 credit hours and will take about two years to complete.
Students who currently have a bachelor’s degree may receive an AAS degree in paralegal studies by completing 30 required semester hours in paralegal specialty courses.
The courses required for the paralegal degree include computer fundamental classes, history, government, English, and math general education courses, as well as the required paralegal specialty courses for the degree.
The college has a suggested outline to follow when taking paralegal courses to ensure that the prerequisites for the higher level classes are met.
During the final semester of the associate degree program students will be eligible to take the National Association of Legal Assistants examination.
