Enterprise State Community College had humble beginnings.
The first class of 256 students attended their classes in rented rooms downtown and at a church, at what was then Enterprise State Junior College.
The next year, the school opened in its current location.
Enterprise State Community College now includes nine modern buildings, instructional facilities, labs, and various learning formats.
One program offered at the school is the Legal Assistant/Paralegal Associate in Applied Science degree.
Students who graduate from the 65-credit program earn an Associate in Applied Science in Paralegal Studies.
The school says that the program prepares students to apply analytic, critical thinking, and research skills within a legal context.
Students also gain knowledge and skills in major areas of substantive law, the rules of professional conduct, and develop and demonstrate professional skills in communications and technology.
There are other goals and objectives that students learn as they complete the program.
