Tarrant County College is located in Fort Worth, Texas on Houston Street.
The campus sits off Interstate 30 and 35 West. The Fort Worth Water Garden is right next to the campus.
Burnett Park is located a few blocks away from the college.
HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital is a few blocks away from the campus as well.
Paralegal Programs Offered
Tarrant County College offers an associate of applied science in paralegal studies as well as a certificate program.
Program Schedule and Requirements
Students who wish to complete the certificate program must already have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college.
The certificate program requires the student to take 8 courses from the legal assistant category, one class from the business category, and one class from the criminal justice category.
In addition, students must complete an internship prior to graduation.
The associate of science degree program is only available at the northeast campus. Students must have a competency in Math 0304 or higher to complete the degree.
The associate degree requires students to complete 6 hours of English composition and 3 hours of speech, 3 hours of government, 3 hours of psychology, and 1 hour of health and wellness.
One math course is required as well as one course in visual/performing arts or humanities.
Students must then complete the required legal assistant courses as well as a computer science course, business course, and criminal justice course.
An internship must be completed prior to graduation.
All internships must be approved by the program coordinator.
