Deanza College offers prospective paralegal students the opportunity to pursue either a certificate of achievement advanced degree or an associate of the arts degree in paralegal studies.

Students will also take courses pertaining to research and writing within the field.

Program Requirements

The certificate advanced program requires students to already have completed the required 46 units of the associate degree and be eligible for certification.

In order to be accepted into the program students must show proficiency in the English language and be eligible for math 114 or higher.

During the course of study, students are required to maintain a 2.0 grade point average or above.

In order to graduate all of the general education requirements and the major requirements for the degree must be met.

Evergreen Valley College

Evergreen Valley College is located in San Jose, California.

The campus of the college sits just off San Felipe Road.

The South Bay Regional Public Training Center, the Evergreen Community Center, and the Evergreen Senior Center are located near the school.

Pomodoro Restaurant is located just down the road from the campus as well.

Paralegal Programs Offered

Evergreen Valley College offers both an associate in arts degree as well as an associate in science degree in paralegal studies.

The college also offers a certificate of achievement.

Each of these degrees is approved by the American Bar Association.

Program Schedule

The Associate of Arts and the Associate of Science degrees each take approximately two years to complete.

The certificate program can typically be completed in a year.

There are 24 units required for completion of the certificate program.

These same courses must be taken for the associate degrees as well.

The associate degrees require elective courses and general education courses as well.

The total number of credits required for the associate in arts degree is 66.

The total number of credits required for the associate in science degree is 60.
