Paralegal Programs Offered
Phoenix College offers a certificate program in paralegal studies, which is designed for students who currently possess a post-graduate degree.
The college offers an Associate of Science degree in paralegal studies for individuals who are seeking their first college degree.
The programs are approved by the American Bar Association.
Program Schedule and Requirements
Students may enter the paralegal studies program during the fall, spring, or summer semesters.
Students are responsible for choosing the appropriate classes that they need in order to complete the degree.
It is recommended that a student speak with an advisor to plan their academic schedule accordingly.
There are some courses that are prerequisites to higher level courses and must be completed before taking the higher level course.
The program offers a variety of elective courses for the student to choose from including Real Estate, Probate, Family Law, Bankruptcy, Administrative Law, and Criminal Procedure.
The Associate of Science degree will take between four and five semesters to complete based on the student’s course selections.
The certificate takes three semesters to complete and is only available to individuals who currently possess a degree.
Internships for the program are elective and not a requirement.
